- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas
- 1/3 c. water
- 1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 c. minced or possibly grnd nuts
- 1/2 c. of raisins

- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of loaf pan, 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch or possibly 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan. Mix sugar and butter in bowl. Stir in large eggs till blended. Add in bananas and water; beat till smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients except nuts and raisins till moistened; stir in nuts and raisins.Pour into pan. Bake till wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 min. Remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing. Don't use self- rising flour.
