- Rinse rice several times, till rinse water runs clear. Saute/fry garlic and herbs in extra virgin olive oil till fragrant, about two min, being ultra careful not to scorch the garlic. Add in rice and saute/fry andother two or possibly three min. Add in artichoke hearts and saute/fry another minute. Add in water and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and cook about fifteen min. Turn off burner and let sit five more min. Fluff with forks.
