- Combine the apricots and water and stew them on a low heat till soft and pulpy.
- Make a syrup by boiling the sugar and some of the water from the cooked apricots.
- The syrup should be fairly thick.
- Remove the stones from the apricots and throw away.
- Mix the fruit into the syrup and spoon into individual bowls.
- Sprinkle the almonds and drizzle the cream over each seeing.
- Place a piece of silver foil on top of each bowl and serve well chilled.
- This dish comes from Hyderabad and is reputed to be from the erstwhile ruler the Nizams kitchen
