- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 T lemon juice
- 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 2 T flour
- 4 c. peeled, sliced apples

- Dip apple slices in lemon juice and set aside. Put together butter and cream cheese in bowl. Gradually add in sugar. Beat on medium speed till fluffy. Add in large eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in almond extract.Put together 1 3/4 cups flour, baking pwdr, soda and salt in medium bowl. Add in flour mix to cream mix, alternately with lowfat milk, beginning and ending with flour mix. Mix well after each addition.
- Pour batter into greased and lightly floured 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Put together 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tbsp flour and cinnamon in small bowl. Put together apple slices in cinnamon mix, tossing lightly to coat well. Arrange apple slices on top of batter in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 min.
