- Heat oven to 400. Make a well in center of flour; add in egg yolks, 1/2 c. sugar, salt & butter. Work with hands till well blended. Press dough into ungreased square pan, 9*9*1 3/4". Bake 15-20 min. Cold slightly; spread with jam or possibly jelly. Beat whites till foamy.
- Gradually add in 1/2 c. sugar & cinnamon. Continue beating till whites stand is stiff peaks. Spread meringue over jam. Bake 8-10 min.
- Cut in 1 1/2" squares.
