- 1 pkt (9 ounce) chocolate wafer cookies, crushed
- 1/4 c. Sugar
- 1/4 c. Butter, melted
- 2 x Chocolate (2.07 ounce) coated caramel-peanut nougat bars coarsely minced
- 2 pkt (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 2 lrg Large eggs
- 3/4 c. Semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- Whipped cream

- Combine first 3 ingredients; press mix proportionately onto bottom and 1-1/2" up sides of 9" springform pan. Sprinkle minced nougat bars proportionately over bottom; set aside. Beat cream cheese at high speed w/ mixer til light and fluffy; gradually add in 1/2C sugar, mixing well. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla; beat til blended. Spoon over candy layer. Bake at 350 for 30min. Remove from oven and run knife around edges of pan to release sides. Let cold to room temperature on wire rack. Cover and refrigerateat least 8 hours. To serve, remove cheesecake from pan; pipe or possibly dollop whipped cream on top.
- Yield: one 9"cheesecake.
