What is it about super fun weekends that make Monday…sort of…the worst? I’ve never been one to dread Mondays – in fact, a few years ago I made a resolution to stop living for the weekend, and I’ve found that that mentality really works for me.
But this past weekend was SO FUN!
If you follow me on Facebook (here) or Instagram (here) then you already know that this past weekend, my two sisters, my two nieces, and myself had an All Girls Slumber Party!

We had been planning this weekend for months, and I was SO EXCITED that it was finally here!

%20or%20Instagram%20(here)%20then%20you%20already%20know%20that%20this%20past%20weekend,%20my%20two%20sisters,%20my%20two%20nieces,%20and%20myself%20had%20an%20All%20Girls%20Slumber%20Party!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EComplete%20with%20matching%20PJs:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20had%20been%20planning%20this%20weekend%20for%20months,%20and%20I%20was%20SO%20EXCITED%20that%20it%20was%20finally%20here!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20started%20off%20the%20party%20with%20a%20quick%20trip%20to%20the%20mall:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Etiaras%20were%20optional.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAll%20that%20shopping%20left%20us%20hungry.%20Luckily%20my%20FAVORITE%20pizza%20place%20was%20nearby:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFuel%20Pizza!%20Fuel%20Pizza%20has%20location%20in%20and%20around%20Charlotte,%20NC,%20as%20well%20as%20in%20Washington%20DC.%20If%20you%20have%20a%20location%20near%20you,%20drop%20whatever%20you%E2%80%99re%20doing%20and%20go!%20Run!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBecause%20friends,%20their%20gluten%20free%20pizza%20is%20the%20best.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEver.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHands%20down!%20It%20is%20so%20good!%20I%E2%80%99m%20sad%20to%20say%20I%20ate%20every%20single%20bite%20of%20the%20above%20pizza.%20Sad%20because%20it%E2%80%99s%20gone%E2%80%A6and%20because%20I%20was%20WAY%20to%20FULL%20afterwards.%20But%20I%20loved%20every%20single%20bite.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20pizza,%20we%20went%20back%20to%20Bestie%E2%80%99s%20house%20where%20the%20Slumber%20Party%20was%20being%20hosted,%20and%20we%20relaxed%20and%20chatted.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20changed%20into%20our%20PJs%20and%20watched%20Frozen%20together,%20complete%20with%20Frozen%20popcorn!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBestie%20followed%20this%20recipe%20on%20Pinterest%20except%20that%20she%20pretty%20much%20halved%20everything.%20The%20sticky%20sweet%20concoction%20was%20better%20just%20drizzled%20on%20the%20popcorn%20instead%20of%20completely%20covering%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20had%20bought%20the%20nieces%20matching%20bowls%20to%20enjoy%20their%20popcorn%20in:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20I%20think%20it%E2%80%99s%20safe%20to%20say%20that%20the%20adults%20enjoyed%20the%20movie%20just%20as%20much%20as%20the%20parents.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20also%20able%20to%20enjoy%20a%20deliciously%20DRY%20homebrewed%20Apple%20Cider%20while%20watching%20the%20movie:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20Brother-In-Law%20Scott%20really%20hit%20it%20out%20of%20the%20park%20with%20this%20one!%20I%20love%20a%20really%20DRY%20not%20very%20sweet%20cider.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20nieces%20went%20to%20bed%20shortly%20after%20the%20movie,%20but%20I%20of%20course%20stayed%20up%20WAY%20PAST%20my%20bedtime%20chatting%20with%20my%20Sissie.%20Let%E2%80%99s%20just%20say%E2%80%A6.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20could%20have%20used%20a%20bit%20more%20sleep%20on%20Sunday%20morning!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20there%20was%20no%20time!%20We%20woke%20up%20Sunday%20to%20a%20positively%20BEAUTIFUL%20day.%20With%20all%20the%20wintry%20weather%20we%E2%80%99ve%20been%20having,%20you%20just%20can%E2%80%99t%20miss%20out%20on%20a%20random%20day%20of%20highs%20in%20the%2070s!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20first,%20breakfast!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20had%20two%20Van%E2%80%99s%20Gluten%20Free%20Frozen%20waffles%20topped%20with%20homemade%20blueberry%20sauce,%20whipped%20cr%C3%A8me,%20and%20just%20a%20dash%20of%20pink%20sprinkles%20since%20it%20was%20a%20special%20occasion!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20blueberry%20sauce%20was%20DELICIOUS!%20Oh%20yes.%20I%20WILL%20be%20making%20it%20again.%20It%20was%20pretty%20simple%20to%20make%20too.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBestie%20combined%201%20pint%20of%20blueberries%20with%201/2%20cup%20water%20and%201/8%20cup%20sugar%20in%20a%20small%20saucepan.%20She%20let%20it%20come%20to%20a%20boil%20and%20then%20let%20it%20simmer%20away%20for%20about%2010%20minutes,%20or%20until%20the%20blueberries%20were%20bursting.%20Then%20she%20used%20her%20immersion%20blender%20to%20just%20blend%20it%20a%20bit%20and%20added%20one%20tsp.%20of%20cornstarch%20to%20thicken%20it%20up.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeavenly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20breakfast%20we%20spent%20the%20morning%20painting%20our%20nails:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20singing%20songs%20from%20Frozen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAll%20that%20painting%20left%20us%20hungry,%20so%20we%20headed%20to%20the%20closest%20Red%20Robin%20for%20lunch.%20And%20YOU%20KNOW%20I%20was%20happy%20about%20that!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESome%20Red%20Robin%E2%80%99s%20use%20Udi%E2%80%99s%20gluten%20free%20buns%20and%20others%20use%20Rich%E2%80%99s%20gluten%20free%20buns.%20I%E2%80%99m%20lucky%20that%20this%20location%20uses%20Rich%E2%80%99s.%20Not%20that%20Udi%E2%80%99s%20isn%E2%80%99t%20good,%20but%20Rich%E2%80%99s%20are%20INSANE!%20They%20are%20so%20freakin%E2%80%99%20fluffy.%20I%20kid%20you%20not.%20I%20love%20them!!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20lunch%20we%20enjoyed%20the%20sunny%20day%20and%20warm%20temps.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20rode%20bikes%20in%20the%20neighborhood,%20which%20then%20turned%20in%20to%20me%20pulling%20my%20nieces%20in%20a%20bike%20trailer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20yeah,%20I%20got%20a%20good%20workout%20in%20on%20Sunday.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20I%20rode%20the%20girls%20around,%20my%20sisters%20worked%20in%20the%20kitchen%20on%20our%20last%20bit%20of%20fun%20before%20we%20all%20parted%20ways:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGluten%20Free%20Cupcakes!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20fact,%20these%20are%20THE%20BEST%20EVER%20Chocolate%20Gluten%20Free%20Cupcakes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20can%E2%80%99t%20wait%20to%20tell%20you%20all%20about%20them%20tomorrow!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20that%20was%20my%20All%20Girl%E2%80%99s%20Weekend!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlus,%20it%E2%80%99s%20a%20nice%20reminder%20to%20treasure%20even%20the%20smallest%20moments,%20like%20riding%20in%20a%20car%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20singing%20along%20to%20every%20song%20that%20comes%20on%20the%20radio,%20because%20time%20flies%20by%20so%20quickly!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
