- 3 c. water
- 1 stick butter
- Healthy pinch of salt
- 4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. minced nuts
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs, beaten

- Cook together the raisins, water and butter. COOL. Add in the rest of the ingredients and pour into prepared pans. Grease and flour 9 to 10 cans or possibly 7 to 8 (1 pound) loaf pans or possibly 2 regular loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 min, according to your pan size. Test with toothpick.
