A Very Cool Cookie Tip

Claudia lamascolo
Claudia lamascolo 20 февраля 2011

For homemade cookies anytime, make a double batch of your favorite drop-cookie recipe, shape into balls, place on a parchment lined cookie sheet and freeze.. After an hour or so, remove for the parchment paper and store in freezer bags, they won't even stick together! When guests of kids get the urge for cookies, just pop a dozen or so in the oven. There is no need to defrost. Just bake as directed by the recipes!

Re: A Very Cool Cookie Tip

I've been doing this for the last several years around the holidays and for any family event we have. I'm due to have a baby in exactly 21 days so this year it's going to come in handy even more than in past years! Also, I usually make more cookies than I am this year, and when I start baking off the first week of December, I use Glad Press & Seal to store my cookies. I seal them up in rows of 3, a dozen to a sheet, and then keep them in Rubbermaid storage containers. The softer the cookie, the closer to the holidays I make them, but my spice cookies are always made 4 weeks out and taste fresh when I open them up! :)
