a little about me.....well....i am a mid west gal from illinois!!! or as some call it....hickville, u.s.a.....the land of meat and potatoes!!! illinois has always been home....however, i have lived in southern california and arizona too. i have been in the kitchen since i can remember. i've found out that i am rather good at cake decorating!!! it is one of my true passions....i love to see just how far i can push myself....i learned there is no such thing is "i can't" in cake decorating!!! i love to watch the people who are getting the cake....the reactions are just wonderful!!!

i got my love of cooking from my mother!!! my earliest memory is being in the kitchen with her. up on a stool with an apron tied around my waist!!! whipping something in my easy bake oven....and my brothers running out the door screaming, "o' lord, she's baking again!!!" as the years have flown by my cooking ability has greatly improved!!! 'no one is running out the door anymore!!!' i truly enjoy cooking for others. i love watching the food network channel...i get so many ideas!!! i love down home cooking, and i have never tried a paula deens recipe that i didn't like!!!
