I am a professional computer analyst in Silicon Valley and am married with one son and two granddaughters.I am half Filipino and half German and grew up in San Jose with dueling food cultures. Had a lot of rice and sauerkraut as part of my food culture growing up.
However, my Filipino uncle was the White House Chef for President Harry Truman and I ate his food growing up once he came back from Washington. As a result I became a serious foodie and since I get to travel all over the world, I get to eat the great foods of many cultures.
I also am a serious cook. I have taken many professional cooking classes over the years in various countries and tend to cook more in the style of a blend of French and Asian cuisines.
However, my greatest joy comes from eating all types of foods from many cultures as a part of traveling. In fact, I try and do one full food week each year in either New Orleans, Paris, Rome or Venice, Hong Kong, Singapore or Bejing.

Highly influenced by my uncle, but also chefs such as Thomas Keller, Julian Serrano, Jacque Pepin and of course, Julia Child.
Also, my German aunt on my mothers side was a great cook and I learned a lot from her.
