just love to cook for and with my children. experimenting with food, watching the cooking and food network are some of my favorite things to do. not a susie homemaker but i dabble around in that arena from time to time lol.

Mr. Ollie ( my bestfriend/grandpa) was the cook for the Winston family he used to work for. He was the first man I saw step foot in kitchen and actually knew his way around it. My grandmother was a strictly soul food cooker and she did NOT want you in her kitchen when she was cooking but feel free to stand in the doorway of the kitchen and watch her. Mr. Ollie on the other hand cooked any and everything. But what I loved the most is he let you in the kitchen with him and he was a true cooking teacher. He made cooking and eating the funnest thing on earth ( at least that's how I felt). Then there was Grandmawmee... my dad's mom. Now that lady would wake up in the middle of the night and just start cooking up everything in the refridgerator. I'd never forget her turkey legs and peach cobbler (which they all say that I took over the cobbler now :)). So I guess I can say that my first cooking influences came from home as most do. But when I "got grown" and had a family on my own I started to admire and LOVE Paula Dean. Her story was truly amazing to me, her presence is purely devine and lets not forget how wonderful her food is.
