I absoultly love to cook. I've been in the kitchen ever since I could stand up. As a toddler I would help stir, add ingrediants, whatever the grown-ups would let me do I did! Through out school I took every cooking class that was available and finished in the advanced cooking where we touched on gourmet foods and some pastry and cake decorating.
The love of cooking has stayed with me over the years. I come from a hispanic background where the women all learn recipes from our aunts, cousins, grandmothers, etc. from just being in the kitchen and preparing big family get-together-meals. Which means no recipes-everything is done by sight and taste with them. All their recipes have to be taught to the younger generations.
I have to say the greastest feeling for me is watching the face of someone that's tasting one of my dishes for the first time!
