my grandmother always fixed Sunday dinner after church-and i loved to watch her.My mom is a wonderful cook and bakes very delightful cakes and snacks.My past husband taught me to make homemade biscuits and how to bake a cake on the top of the stove-at the time our oven was not working-i also made corbread and biscuits on top also-he was a wonderful cook-loved cooking.Made a delicious meatloaf-and the best scratch dumplings ever.i retained a little of his recipes-and now wish i had written them down.My mom made all of us girls(my 2 sisters and my cousin-all the granddaughters a cook book of her favorite recipes.
