As a kid I spent hours thumbing through recipes daydreaming about food.I still do.To relax I read a cookbook,food articles or internet searching for recipes!Now Google reader has food blogs! I hope someday my daughters will also cherish these vintage family favorites.My challenge is to organize these recipes in 1 place.This blog keeps me accountable. My Grandma Lucky was a huge influence on me as a child.. From what My Mom says, I was the only one she would let in her kitchen! As a little child, she would hoist me up on top of her counter top for me to see her wonderful baking skills! Thankful that I have these memories that take me back to being with her in her kitchen when I make her recipes..My Mom bless her heart ,welcomed me into her kitchen to experiment, my Dad as my guinea pig ,always encouraging, even when something really probably was so bad! I loved being in the kitchen when helping out our friends get ready for a celebration or just everyday event.Blessed for all my church families in my life that gave me so many recipes to love! As I got older through the years, my Grandma Ruth got me hooked on watching Julia Child's TV show and gave me her cookbook. So I've followed Julia Child through my years. Then I was introduced to "Ma Maision" restaurant by a Dentist I use to work for in Santa Monica,CA. This is where I fell in love with Wolfgang Puck's recipes! So I continue to be a big fan of his!:)
