the smell of vanilla,warm chocolate,fresh bread......should be classified as cardinal sins...they make the flesh willing and the spirit weak..... but to resist temptation takes real strength of character..... which many of us conviniently choose to ignore... and the constant struggle to locate ingredients not available in a small town.... by now I am the queen of substitution.This is the story of my journey into baking....not as much for myself......appreciating the bouquet while resisting the wine.... - 28 января 2012amos,gr8..we are generally shocked when we see north indian recipes.....they are so not north indian...I'm trying to put the real punjabi/himachali/north indian stuff...bare for all to see. Our cusine is not very high in fat,just warmly spiced and we use the freshest stuff available...use roots,stems leaves and all..lolzz..would love to share them with you all..cheers!
- 27 января 2012Shalini - I have added the ground ginger into my formulation, at your suggestion. I felt the garlic/ginger paste would be sufficient, but can see how the addition of a small amount of ginger powder will elevate the dish. I also immediately know that the ground ginger will, indeed, greatly enhance the aromatics of the dish! Thanks and this is why I love this site! ~ Amos
