My love is good food.
I love to cook it, eat it, photograph it and (of course) blog about it. I've enjoyed cooking since I was a child and when I became an adult it didn’t take long to become a foodie. But it wasn’t until the birth of my son (and becoming a stay at home mom), that I discovered my love of researching food and nutrition in order to improve my families health and wellbeing.
My philosophy on food and diet is that to be healthy all we need to do is learn how to enjoy food once again. Our country has so many food related illnesses simply because of our war on food. We've walked away from the farms and into the laboratories and this has wreaked havoc on our health. People are afraid to cook from scratch thinking that the kitchen is reserved for our grandmothers and high end chefs. We obsessively watch celebrity chefs on TV while munching on fake food. I believe if more of us would start really enjoying food again we would all be healthier and happier.
My goal with this blog is too inspire people to start exploring real food. To get back to what nature provides us. If only one of my readers is inspired to step out of the drive thru and into their kitchen then I have done my job.
