I grew up cooking for my mother and 5 brothers and sisters. I cooked from necessity and had to do it with limited food variety and little direction. I am married with two sons, Daniel and Trevor. They are both amazing and have very diversified palettes! I owe my love of cooking to my late friend, Nina Rosenhan, whom opened my eyes to foods from around the world. We would take turns recreating foods we had eaten at restaurants or read about in cookbooks. Generally it involved a couple of bottles of wine and much talk and laughter!
I cook Mexican, Italian, and American classic, with bits and pieces from around the world! I never tire of reading cook books, and now, cooking blogs!
I live on the Central Coast of California, on the edge of the Salad Bowl of the world, 5 miles from the Artichoke Capital, and 22 miles from the Garlic Capital, amid strawberry and artichokes fields!
