Last night for NewYears we had our usual Beef Bourguignon by Julia Childs in French cooking. We steamed 2 big Idaho potatoes ala dente' , a green leaf salad with pears and raspberries with a great raspberry salad dressing of which I added blended fresh raspberries to ; to finish sprinkled with walnuts. Bread chosen were popovers. When served the beef dish was served over the steamed potatoes with half of the potato bare of which I sprinkled parsley and butter on top. As usual it was a hit. This is a NewYear tradition in our house.
