Amos Miller, who cooks on one of our Rumfords, introduced me to this site.
I have really enjoyed the oven we built in our home (profile picture) and am quickly learning how to make pizza in 90 seconds at 1200 deg.F. It's taking me longer to learn how to bake passable bread. We have had some success with slow-cooking meats and vegetables. The oven is a great socializer - everyone gets involved.

I appreciate good food but I am not a cook - except for fish, Indonesian rijsttafel and pizza. But I know about fire, Rumford fireplaces and masonry ovens.
