I am a wife, married 18 years to my high school sweetheart... my first and only boyfriend. My mom was a "quick and easy" type of cook who didn't take much pleasure in the act of cooking or the joy of those eating it. After we were married, I could make Hamburger Helper, which we ate often, and not much else. My poor husband endured those begining years like a trooper while I taught myself to cook and it paid off. I LOVE to cook and am told I'm pretty good at it. My children who are 17, 8 and 6 have never even had Hamburger Helper. They beg me to buy it and I just can't bring myself to do it now that I can cook. Living in the southwest, Mexican food is my specialty and "the hotter the better".
