I'm a full-time mom, part-time culinary student in a baking and pastry arts program, and a former book editor. I love everything having to do with baking and I get a lot of joy out of sharing this interest with other home bakers. Working on my blog (Jane's Sweets & Baking Journal) is one of my favorite ways to spend spare time--when I'm not actually baking, that is!

I was largely influenced by my late mom, who was an avid and accomplished baker. She derived enormous enjoyment from the process and she was always trying to improve upon results. I think baking is a wonderful creative pursuit and the fact that baked goods are meant to be shared makes it all the more rewarding.
