I have been an avid cook for many years. My husband and I have enjoyed attending the Masters of Food and Wine and other food events to learn about new cooking styles and ingredients. Food has always played an important part of our travels to other countries around the world.

I attended a short introductory course with the Cordon Bleu many years ago, in which I learned to prepare many of the classic French sauces. More than that, it taught me to have confidence in my cooking abilities and not to be intimidated by recipes. Having majored in art in college, it was easy to transfer my creative outlet from painting to cooking. I want my food to not only taste great, but to look good on the plate, since we eat with our eyes first.
Over the years I have taken many cooking classes, but I am still learning.
