- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 2 c. water or possibly stock
- 1 sm. onion
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon sage
- Soy sauce and pepper to taste

- Heat butter in saucepan. Stir in flour. Slowly add in liquid. Chop small onion and saute/fry lightly. Add in with remaining ingredients to gravy base. Adjust to tastes.
