%20for%20a%20drizzling%20of%20my%20homemade%20vinaigrette.%20I'll%20toot%20my%20own%20horn%20on%20this%20one.%20I%20even%20had%20visions%20of%20bottling%20my%20dressing%20it%20was%20that%20great!%20Any%20takers?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrowing%20up%20I%20always%20had%20an%20endless%20supply%20(so%20I%20thought)%20of%20tuna%20fish.%20There%20were%20several%20canneries%20in%20the%20port%20of%20LA%20town%20I%20was%20from.%20Most%20of%20them%20are%20now%20gone.%20Over%20the%20years%20I've%20found%20myself%20actually%20craving%20tuna%20for%20whatever%20reason,%20I'm%20not%20sure.%20Could%20it%20be%20the%20protein%20or%20the%20taste%20or%20both?%20Was%20I%20conditioned%20from%20living%20in%20%22fish%20town,%20USA%22?%20Was%20I%20experiencing%20homesick%20tuna%20syndrome?%20After%20doing%20a%20little%20research%20I%20suppose%20I%20could%20be%20lacking%20in%20omega%20fatty%20acids,%20protein,%20magnesium%20or%20potassium,%20all%20of%20which%20are%20found%20in%20abundance%20in%20tuna.%20Listen%20to%20those%20cravings,%20your%20body%20may%20be%20trying%20to%20tell%20you%20something!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBefore%20I%20met%20my%20husband%20I%20would%20dine%20on%20tuna%20sandwiches%20and%20chocolate%20milk!%20My%20kitties%20loved%20me%20for%20that.%20Very%20affordable%20when%20you're%20living%20on%20your%20own.%20Another%20way%20I%20like%20to%20enjoy%20my%20tuna%20sandwiches%20is%20with%20a%20slice%20or%20two%20of%20jellied%20cranberry%20sauce!%20Pretty%20weird%20but%20it%20works%20for%20me!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20I%20strolled%20through%20the%20market%20the%20other%20day%20the%20tuna%20caught%20my%20eye.%20I%20must%20have%20had%20that%20craving%20again.%20Almost%20as%20powerful%20as%20a%20chocolate%20craving!%20I%20have%20to%20say%20thanks%20to%20my%20hubby%20for%20letting%20me%20experiment%20from%20time%20to%20time%20(quite%20often).%20This%20time%20the%20payoff%20was%20great.%20I%20only%20purchased%20a%20small%20amount%20but%20what%20I%20bought%20went%20a%20long%20way%20with%20the%20following%20recipe.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESeason%20the%20tuna%20steak%20(1/3%20-1/2%20lb%20piece%20for%202)%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20Using%20a%20grill%20or%20griddle%20pan%20on%20med-high%20heat,%20sear%20on%20both%20sides%20for%20a%20total%20of%20about%205%20minutes.%20Slice%20thinly%20and%20add%20to%20your%20salad%20greens,%20tomatoes,%20onions,%20etc.%20Drizzle%20with%20ginger%20wasabi%20dressing.%20Yum!%20Another%20great%20addition%20would%20be%20orange%20or%20pineapple%20slices%20or%20toasted%20almonds!%20Serves%202.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
