The Heavenly Cake Bakers are making the Lemon Canadian Crown this week. I made this cake last November. I had come to Poland to spend Thanksgiving with my husband and our daughter, who was en route from Austria back to AZ. It was a fun trip and a wonderful, creamy cake. Since I've already made this one and still have many on my "to-do" list, I decided to flip to another recipe in the cheesecake category and make the No-Bake Whipped Cream Cheesecake. %20%20I%20found%20a%20brand%20without%20pictures,%20I%20bought%20it%20thinking%20that%20it%20must%20be%20plain%20cream%20cheese.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20got%20home,%20I%20noticed%20that%20I%20had%20two%20different%20kinds%20of%20cream%20cheese.%20%20The%20translator%20app%20told%20me%20that%20I%20had%20strawberry%20cream%20cheese%20and%20%22taste%20of%20chocolate%22%20cream%20cheese.%20%20I%20could%20go%20back%20and%20buy%20the%20Philly%20cream%20cheese.%20%20They%20had%20it,%20but%20as%20an%20imported%20item%20it%20was%20more%20expensive.%20%20I%20decided%20to%20use%20the%20flavored%20cheeses.%20%20This%20would%20be%20the%20kitchen%20equivalent%20of%20%22play%20the%20ball%20where%20it%20lies.%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20plan%20was%20to%20keep%20the%20cream%20cheeses%20separate.%20%20I%20wanted%20them%20to%20keep%20their%20pink%20and%20brown%20colors%20rather%20than%20become%20a%20muddy%20gray.%20%20I%20also%20worried%20that%20as%20I%20added%20the%20custard%20and%20Italian%20meringue%20the%20flavors%20would%20become%20too%20diluted%20to%20be%20recognized,%20so%20I%20added%20some%20raspberry%20coulis%20to%20the%20strawberry,%20and%202%20ounces%20of%20melted%20dark%20chocolate%20and%20a%20tablespoons%20of%20cocoa%20to%20the%20chocolate.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don't%20remember%20seeing%20graham%20crackers%20in%20the%20store%20here,%20so%20when%20I%20came%20across%20these%20from%20the%20folks%20who%20makes%20rye%20crisps,%20I%20bought%20them.%20%20They%20were%20more%20like%20a%20rye%20crisp%20(airy%20&%20bland)%20than%20a%20graham%20cracker,%20so%20I%20doubled%20the%20sugar%20and%20salt%20in%20making%20the%20crust.%20%20The%20crust%20turned%20out%20well,%20but%20the%20texture%20was%20still%20a%20little%20different.%20%20More%20like%20a%20pretzel%20crust%20than%20graham%20cracker.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20served%20it%20with%20the%20raspberry%20coulis.%20%20All%20I%20can%20say%20is%20YUM!%20%20The%20texture%20is%20so%20light%20a%20fluffy.%20%20It's%20calling%20to%20me%20from%20the%20fridge%20right%20now.%20%20I%20can%20see%20why%20Rose%20risked%20being%20late%20returning%20for%20work%20when%20she%20ran%20out%20to%20get%20a%20slice%20of%20this%20on%20her%20lunch%20hour.%20%20It%20melts%20in%20your%20mouth%20-%20no%20chewing%20required.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUnlike%20my%20other%20blog%20posts,%20as%20part%20of%20the%20Heavenly%20Cake%20Bakers,%20I%20don't%20post%20recipes%20from%20this%20book%20on%20the%20Internet.%20One%20of%20the%20reasons%20for%20this%20baking%20group%20is%20to%20encourage%20readers%20to%20purchase%20the%20cookbook.%20That%20strategy%20worked%20on%20me!%20After%20follow%20the%20group's%20baking%20adventures%20for%20a%20couple%20of%20months,%20I%20ordered%20a%20copy%20from%20Amazon%20because%20I%20wanted%20to%20join%20in.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
