  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1/4 pound pork sausage
  • 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/3 c. evaporated lowfat milk
  • 2 T minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon chili pwdr
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 c. evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 biscuit recipe or possibly refrigerator biscuits
  • 1 1/3 c. flour
  • 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili pwdr
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  1. Mix well first 8 ingredients; shape into meat balls. Brown, cover and cook 10 min; drain. Place in 2 1/2-quart casserole. Heat soups, lowfat milk, water till steaming. Pour over meatballs and top with biscuits.
  2. Cut in 1/3 cup shortening. Add in 1 egg, 1/3 cup evaporated lowfat milk. Roll to 12 inch square. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese and 1 tbsp dry parsley. Roll up and cut into 8 slices. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 min.
