Ингредиенты

  • 4 stalk celery minced
  • 2 x carrots grated
  • 2 x onions peeled and chopped
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 4 c. matzo meal
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Spoon 1/4 of mix onto a large piece of aluminum foil. Roll mix in foil into an 8-inch cylinder. Do the same with the remaining mix to create four 8-inch cylinders. Place cylinders on cookie sheet and bake in a 350-degree oven for45 min. Turn cylinders over and bake 45 min longer. Remove foil and serve kishke sliced and hot.
  3. NOTES : I tried this and really liked it. Reminded me of the greasy yummy kishka ofmy youth but without the grease. I added 2 minced habanero peppers and Ionly used 2 stalks of celery, otherwise the same. I did all the vegetablesin my food processor. Serve it in slices as a side dish, you can alsopan-fry (in non-stick spray) the slices before serving. This is very dense and filling and very simple to make.
  4. This vegetarian kishke (stuffing-like mix) is sure to please guests atyour next Passover seder.
