.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20also%20went%20to%20my%20farm%20store%20and%20when%20I%20saw%20these%20I%20couldn't%20help%20myself!%20Lookie%20here%20Mrs.%20Wheelbarrow%20Duck%20Eggs.%20Need%20I%20say%20more?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20have%20%22ice%20cream%22%20written%20all%20over%20then.%20Not%20literally.%20You%20know%20what%20I%20mean.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20to%20the%20best%20part%20of%20my%20blog%20post.%20.%20.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20went%20to%20visit%20my%20baby%20Parker.%20I%20love%20my%20Annie%20and%20Tim,%20and%20was%20excited%20to%20see%20them,%20but%20it%20was%20Parker%20that%20has%20grabbed%20my%20heart%20and%20has%20me%20wrapped%20around%20his%20little%20finger.%20My%20meat%20man.%20Grammy%20set%20him%20up%20and%20got%20him%20started%20on%20the%20right%20path.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20think%20he%20had%20my%20number%20the%20minute%20I%20held%20him.%20All%20he%20has%20to%20do%20is%20smile%20at%20me%20and%20....%20well,%20you%20know.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20got%20to%20spend%20lots%20of%20time%20together.%20Shut%20up,%20I%20know%20I%20look%20like%20a%20homeless%20person.%20It%20is%20called%20jet%20lag.%20Go%20away,%20it%20is%20dammit!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20little%20guy%20is%20getting%20started%20off%20right.%20Mom%20cooks%20all%20his%20food%20for%20him.%20No%20%22Gerbers%22%20for%20him.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20is%20that%20beautiful%20plate%20of%20food%20you%20ask?%20Even%20if%20you%20didn't%20I%20am%20going%20to%20tell%20you.%20Tim%20got%20us%20tickets%20to%20the%20Sharks%20hockey%20game.%20I%20love%20hockey%20but%20pretend%20I%20didn't%20tell%20you%20that,%20ok?%20It%20was%20the%20playoffs%20and%20before%20we%20went%20we%20ate%20brunch%20at%20Camino.%20I%20had%20the%20Sardine%20and%20asparagus.%20All%20ingredients%20were%20so%20fresh%20and%20flavorful.%20They%20cooked%20everything%20in%20a%20wood%20burning%20oven.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECan%20I%20just%20say%20that%20the%20food%20was%20amazing.%20To%20be%20honest%20the%20service%20was%20pretentious%20and%20standoffish%20(treated%20us%20sorta%20like%20we%20stepped%20in%20dog%20poop.%20It%20could%20have%20been%20I%20was%20still%20looking%20a%20bit%20disheveled.%20I%20am%20no%20spring%20chicken%20anymore%20[another%20phrase%20we%20will%20have%20to%20explore].%20I%20recommend%20this%20restaurant%20highly%20though.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPotatoes%20cooked%20in%20Duck%20Fat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETim%20had%20this.%20It%20was%20the%20Polenta,%20poached%20egg%20and%20spring%20peas.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnnie%20(my%20meat%20lovin%20girl)%20had%20the%20Meaty%20thing%20with%20fava%20beans%20and%20poached%20egg.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20also%20had%20a%20baked%20egg%20that%20was%20baked%20in%20the%20wood%20burning%20oven.%20Yum!%20All%20in%20all%20this%20meal%20rocked.%20It%20made%20me%20even%20more%20homesick%20for%20California.%20California%20has%20my%20family%20and%20the%20best%20simple%20and%20fresh%20food%20and%20...and...%20LOOK%20AT%20THIS%20FACE!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOff%20to%20the%20Sharks%20game.%20Tim%20got%20us%20box%20seats.%20Ooooh%20baby,%20Penthouse!%20Parker's%20first%20game.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20think%20I%20may%20have%20watched%20Parker%20more%20than%20I%20watched%20the%20game.%20%22Sharks%22%20lost%20anyhow.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don't%20know%20if%20I%20told%20you%20but%20Parker%20is%20a%20chick%20magnet.%20This%20is%20one%20of%20his%20girlfriends.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20was%20more%20into%20the%20game%20than%20into%20her.%20I%20heard%20him%20ask%20her%20to%20go%20get%20him%20a%20beer%20but%20she%20was%20way%20too%20smart%20for%20that.%20She%20wasn't%20going%20to%20wait%20on%20him.%20She%20could%20get%20herself%20another%20guy.%20Maybe%20not%20as%20good%20looking%20but....%20Ok,%20I%20will%20stop.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBefore%20I%20knew%20it%20my%20heart%20was%20breaking%20as%20I%20walked%20out%20the%20door%20and%20my%20trip%20was%20over.%20I%20did%20leave%20my%20heart%20in%20San%20Francisco%20though.%20Really!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMichael%20Symon's%20Pork%20Cheek%20Chili%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efrom%20%22Live%20To%20Cook%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20got%20it%20from%20Amateur%20Gourmet%20Go%20read%20his%20blog!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECreme%20fraiche%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIIn%20a%20large%20bowl,%20combine%20the%20coriander,%20paprika,%20and%20cumin%20and%20toss%20with%20the%20pork%20cheeks(or%20shoulder).%20Season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20enameled%20cast-iron%20Dutch%20oven,%20heat%202%20tablespoons%20of%20the%20oil%20over%20medium-high%20heat.%20Add%20half%20of%20the%20pork%20and%20cook,%20turning%20as%20needed,%20until%20browned%20on%20all%20sides,%20about%208%20minutes.%20Transfer%20the%20pork%20to%20a%20plate.%20Add%20the%20remaining%202%20tablespoons%20of%20oil%20and%20brown%20the%20remaining%20pork.%20Transfer%20to%20the%20plate.%20Add%20the%20bacon%20to%20the%20pot%20and%20cook%20over%20medium%20heat,%20stirring%20occasionally,%20until%20browned%20and%20slightly%20crisp,%20about%207%20minutes.%20Add%20the%20onion,%20garlic,%20jalapenos,%20and%20bell%20peppers%20and%20cook,%20stirring%20occasionally,%20until%20the%20vegetables%20are%20softened,%20about%205%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReturn%20the%20pork%20cheeks%20(or%20shoulder)%20to%20the%20pot%20along%20with%20any%20accumulated%20juices.%20Add%20the%20ale,%20chicken%20stock,%20tomatoes,%20chipotles,%20black-eyed%20peas,%20and%20cinnamon%20stick%20and%20bring%20to%20a%20boil.%20Cover%20and%20cook%20over%20very%20low%20heat%20until%20the%20meat%20and%20beans%20are%20tender,%20about%202-1/2%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESeason%20the%20chili%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20Spoon%20off%20the%20fat%20from%20the%20surface%20and%20discard%20the%20cinnamon%20stick.%20Serve%20the%20chili%20in%20bowls.%20Pass%20the%20smoked%20cheddar,%20cilantro,%20scallions,%20and%20creme%20fraiche%20at%20the%20table.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
