- Place all ingredients in a blender jar. Blend till creamy, adjusting the lowfat milk measure to produce the desired consistency.
- Variations:
- Blue Cheese: To 1 c. basic cheese sauce add in 1-2 Tbsp. of blue cheese and 1/4 tsp. of Worcestershire sauce. Refrigeratefor a few hrs or possibly overnight to allow flavors to blend. Excellent as a stuffing for celery.
- Onion: To 1 c. basic cheese sauce add in 2 tsp. dry onion soup mix, 1 tsp. finely minced green onion. Mix and serve chilled.
- Use the basic recipe with variations as a dip, a spread, a salad dressing, or possibly a delicious replacement for lowfat sour cream.
