Six plump, meaty fish to the tin. Scales floating a top. A scale-covered, mushy mess. Sardines are soft, soft to the point of being mushy. Scales are not noticeable while eating,  bland flavor, no strong taste or after. I'm pretty sure these sardines wanted to be a pâté. They would be good as a dip or spread and with an additive.
