Рецепт Yema Balls
by Ang Sarap

Yema is a type of soft candy in the Philippines made from egg yolks and condensed milk. It is perhaps the most popular candy back home and most of the kids during the old days most probably have this on their favourites list. In the Philippines we barely make them as it can be purchased on sari sari stores at a very cheap price but I am not sure if that is the case now a days. There are many ways to prepare it, some present it in a pyramid shape covered in cellophane, some coat it with melted sugar and others add additional flavours to it, today we will be making it in spherical shapes as we don’t have cellophane handy, with this version you will need to roll it in sugar so it does not stick together.Yema Balls  Save PrintPrep time Cook time Total time  Ingredients1 can condensed milk8 egg yolks¼ cup roughly chopped peanuts,2 tbsp butterwhite sugar, to coatInstructionsMelt butter in sauce pan then pour condensed milk, cook in low heat for 5 minutesAdd egg yolks while continuously mixing for 2 minutesAdd peanuts, bring heat to medium then continue to stir for 20 minutes or until mixture becomes very thick.Place white sugar in a plateRemove from heat and let it cool.
