,%20but%20I%20have%20a%20problem%20with%20conviction%20so%20I%20migrated%20toward%20the%20fried%20premade%20foods%20from%20Sam%E2%80%99s%20and%20the%20plethora%20of%20cookies,%20pies,%20cinnamon%20rolls,%20and%20candy%20that%20was%20on%20hand.%20%20(I%20may%20have%20eaten%20one%20carrot%20stick.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETime%20to%20detox.%20%20%20Since%20January%201,%20I%20have%20read%20many%20of%20your%20posts%20about%20cleanses%20and%20re-dedications%20to%20eating%20healthier%20in%202012.%20%20%20I%20was%20right%20there%20with%20you%E2%80%94until%20the%20hospitality%20room.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20this%20morning,%20I%20got%20up,%20dusted%20off%20the%20waffle%20iron%20and%20decided%20to%20revamp%20our%20stand-by%20waffle%20recipe%20into%20a%20little%20healthier%20fare.%20%20%20(I%20do%20not%20want%20to%20insult%20any%20of%20you%20struggling%20through%20a%20cleanse,%20but%20this%20is%20as%20close%20as%20we%20are%20going%20to%20get%20to%20renewing%20our%20purpose%20to%20eat%20healthy.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhole%20Grain%20%E2%80%9CPeanut%20Butter%20and%20Jelly%E2%80%9D%20Waffles%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%20butter,%20mix%20in%20honey%20and%20oil,%20let%20cool%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20mixing%20bowl,%20whip%20eggs%20with%20a%20whisk%20until%20%E2%80%9Cfrenzied.%E2%80%9D%20%20%20(Seriously,%20they%20need%20to%20be%20frothy.)%20%20%20Add%20milk%20and%20whisk%20some%20more.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20smaller%20mixing%20bowl,%20mix%20together%20dry%20ingredients%20with%20a%20whisk.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20all%20ingredients%20(both%20butter%20mixture%20and%20dry%20ingredients%20and%20walnuts)%20to%20the%20eggs%20and%20stir%20until%20just%20combined.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELadle%20on%20prepared%20waffle%20iron%20and%20cook%20until%20brown%20and%20crispy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhole%20grain%20waffles%20ready%20to%20cook.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20absolutely%20LOVE%20peanut%20butter%20on%20waffles.%20%20%20I%20decided%20these%20whole-grain%20beauties%20needed%20a%20perfect%20topping%20so%20I%20topped%20each%20stack%20with%20about%20two%20tablespoons%20of%20creamy%20peanut%20butter%20and%20then%20I%20drizzled%20them%20with%20some%20Vino%20Cotto.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWaffles%20in%20the%20early%20morning%20sunlight.%20(Actually,%20it%20wasn't%20too%20early.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20really%20surprised.%20%20%20I%20had%20used%20the%20Vino%20Cotto%20before%20on%20pancakes%20but%20only%20with%20butter,%20never%20with%20my%20beloved%20peanut%20butter.%20%20%20It%20tasted%20like%20%E2%80%9Cgrown%20up%E2%80%9D%20peanut%20butter%20and%20jelly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESublime!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMore%20true%20confessions:%20%20%20The%20drizzle%20of%20syrup%20was%20for%20picture%20purposes%20only.%20%20%20I%20dumped%20it%20on%20after%20the%20photo%20snap.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMaybe%20I%20will%20eat%20healthier%20tomorrow.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
