- 1/4 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 15 T whole milk (see directions, 1 cup minus 1 tablespoon)
- 2 T Kahlua (coffee liquor), divided
- 2 t vanilla
- 8 oz (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 21 oz (2 1/2 cups plus 2 T) granulated sugar, preferably superfine (I did not have)
- 6 large eggs
- For the glaze:
- 2 T Kahlua (coffee liquor)
- 1 T vanilla vodka, such as Stoli
- 5 T whole milk
- 8 1/2 oz (2 cups) confectionersâ sugar, plus more as needed
