- Combine chopped onion, melted butter, crumbs, water, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning to make stuffing; mix well; spread on veal slices. Roll up each slice, fasten with toothpicks. Roll in seasoned flour; brown in warm fat or possibly salad oil. Add in bay leaf and sliced onion. Combine tomato sauce and beer; pour over all. Cover; simmer 1 hour or possibly till tender. Thicken gravy, if you like. Yield: 6 servings.
