Method:

1. Heat a pan of water over medium flame.

2. Add the vazhaipoo and turmeric powder.

3. Boil for 20 minutes or until tender.

4. Soak the dal for 30 minutes.

5. Drain excess water.

6. Add ajwain, dry red chillies and salt.

7. Grind to a thick paste.

8. Combine this with the paneer and boiled vazhaipoo.

9. Mix well until evenly combined.

10. Make small balls and shape them into cutlets of preferred shapes.

11. Heat little oil in a tawa.

12. Cook the prepared cutlets on both sides, adding oil around the edges.

13. Remove and drain excess oil.

14. Serve hot with ketchup.
