Snowball cookies, these cookies are best to pack to gift or to enjoy with your favourite drink. These cookies have many names depending upon the countries they comes from. Snowballs cookies are also known as Russian tea cakes, Mexican wedding cookies, Snowdrops, Butter balls and more. These cookies suits prefectly awesome to bake and enjoy for the upcoming valentine's day. To bake as a valentine's special day cookies, i coloured it as rose snowball cookies specially for this year's valentine's day . They tastes excellent as much as like Shortbread cookies. Easy and simple to make these cuties are seriously very attractive to munch as they are absolutely delicious.
These cookies are loaded with butter but its completely eggless. If you are a lover of butter loaded cookies, then these cuties will definitely please your tastebuds. These cookies calls for grounded walnuts and that bring the succulent flavor to this ultimate cookies. This melt in mouth will calls for an easy preparation and the baking time takes hardly 12-15minutes.Obviously you can bake these snowball cookies in huge quantity to share and enjoy with your loved ones. 1cup Softened butter
1/2cup Sugar
2cups All purpose flour
2tbsp Cornstarch
1/4tsp Salt
1tsp Vanilla extract
1/2cup Grounded walnuts
Few drops Rose food colour
Powdered sugar (for coating)
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Beat the butter and sugar until the mixture turns creamy. Meanwhile sieve the flour, cornstarch, salt and keep aside.
Add this flour, grounded walnuts, vanilla extract, rose food colour to the butter mixture. Mix to form as a cookies dough.
Take a small ball of the dough,roll it as ball, if you cant able to roll the dough, arrange the dough in fridge for half an hour or an hour.
Arrange the rolled balls on a baking sheet lined over a baking tray.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until the bottom edges turns slight brown.
Let it cool a bit and roll the cookies in powdered sugar.
Arrange in an airtightened box and enjoy.
