%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20I%20know%20these%20girls.%20They%20have%20regular%20posts%20called%20Fancy%20Fridays.%20These%20include%20nothing%20but%20photos%20of%20pretty,%20flouncy,%20girly%20things.%20So%20I%20am%20going%20girly%20with%20this%20cocktail.%20Extremely%20girly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20I%20had%20my%20assignment%20I%20began%20to%20search%20out%20some%20illumination%20for%20my%20libation.%20Perhaps%20some%20pretty%20pink%20inspiration.%20But%20the%20truth%20is%20there%20is%20not%20much%20pink%20in%20my%20house.%20I%20have%20an%20old%20polo%20shirt%20that%E2%80%99s%20pink%E2%80%A6%20but%20girly%20it%20ain%E2%80%99t.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20I%20turned%20my%20attention%20to%20the%20yard.%20Shazam!%20Look%20what%20I%20found.%20It%20is%20an%20epiphyllum%20in%20full%20fuchsia%20flush.%20%20This%20is%20better%20than%20any%20ole%20pink%20boa!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst%20off,%20it%E2%80%99s%20pink.%20Obviously%20pink.%20But%20it%E2%80%99s%20the%20tropical%20association%20that%20really%20inspired%20me.%20So%20I%20decided%20to%20do%20a%20pink%20tropical%20interpretation%20of%20a%20classic%20cocktail.%20I%20decided%20to%20make%20it%20a%20bit%20ticklish%20too.%20Because%20summer%20cocktails%20should%20be%20fun!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20am%20calling%20it%20a%20Tickled%20Pink%20Tropical%20Island%20%E2%80%9CIced%20Tea%E2%80%9D.%20It%E2%80%99s%20inspired%20by%20the%20classic%20Long%20Island%20Iced%20Tea,%20but%20the%20addition%20of%20guava%20juice%20gives%20my%20version%20the%20pink-hued%20provenance%20of%20more%20balmy%20cartography.%20Perfect%20for%20summer.%20But%20I%20also%20added%20a%20big%20splash%20of%20club%20soda%20for%20that%20tickle%20I%20was%20looking%20for.%20Besides,%20%E2%80%9CIced%20Teas%E2%80%9D%20of%20the%20alcoholic%20variety%20can%20be%20dangerously%20potent.%20The%20club%20soda%20lightens%20the%20load%20in%20this%20department%20and%20makes%20this%20drink%20a%20little%20more%20party%20friendly%20in%20my%20opinion.%20Because%20there%20is%20nothing%20uglier%20than%20a%20drunken%20Sup!%20gettin%E2%80%99%20girly!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20some%20purists%20claim%20that%20you%20should%20never%20mix%20gin%20and%20vodka.%20Which%20seems%20like%20sensible%20advice.%20But%20there%20is%20nothing%20sensible%20about%20this%20boozy%20beverage.%20This%20cocktail%20is%20all%20about%20summer%20indulgence.%20So%20it%20defies%20many%20of%20these%20standard%20taboos.%20Making%20it%20the%20ultimate%20warm%20weather%20party%20potion.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDespite%20the%20powerful%20wallop%20of%20rum,%20vodka,%20gin%20and%20%20tequila%E2%80%93%20the%20flavors%20in%20this%20cocktail%20meld%20like%20a%20mellow%20August%20afternoon.%20The%20tropical%20guava%20juice,%20as%20well%20as%20the%20exotic%20orange%20flavors%20of%20Cointreau,%20blends%20well%20with%20the%20citrusy%20notes%20of%20gin%20and%20limejuice%20and%20that%20spicy%20kick%20of%20rum.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20funny%20thing%20about%20the%20original%20version%20of%20this%20cocktail%20is%20that%20it%20actually%20does%20taste%20like%20iced%20tea.%20My%20version%20tastes%20more%20like%20a%20glass%20of%20guava%20Snapple%20than%20a%20pitcher%20of%20the%20summer%20style%20sweet%20tea%20you%20sipped%20with%20your%20gramma%20on%20the%20front%20porch.%20But,%20I%E2%80%99m%20sticking%20with%20the%20iced%20tea%20moniker%20anyway.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlthough%20it%E2%80%99s%20hard%20to%20know%20exactly%20where%20this%20libation%20got%20it%E2%80%99s%20start,%20it%20seems%20likely%20that%20this%20is%20another%20one%20of%20those%20prohibition%20era%20cocktails.%20The%20original%20version%20has%20a%20big%20splash%20of%20cola.%20In%20those%20days%20many%20bartenders%20added%20this%20splash%20as%20a%20disguise.%20Making%20whatever%20potent%20bootleg%20spirit%20they%20might%20be%20serving%20look%20like%20a%20long%20cool%20glass%20of%20harmless%20(and%20perfectly%20legal)%20iced-tea.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20here%E2%80%99s%20to%20summer.%20Here%E2%80%99s%20to%20LoveFeast%20Table.%20And%20here%E2%80%99s%20to%20Sup!,%20who%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20mind%20gettin'%20his%20girl%20on%20every%20once%20in%20a%20while!%20Especially%20if%20it's%20for%20CampBlogaway.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20all%20the%20ingredients%20into%20a%20large,%20tall%2010-14%20oz%20ice-filled%20Collins%20or%20Chimney%20style%20glass.%20Top%20with%20the%20club%20soda%20and%20gently%20stir.%20Garnish%20with%20as%20many%20fresh%20lime%20wedges%20as%20you%20like.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVariations:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELong%20Island%20Iced%20Tea:%20Replace%20the%20spiced%20rum%20with%20white%20rum%20and%20the%20guava%20juice%20with%20orange%20juice%20and%20the%20club%20soda%20with%20cola.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMiami%20Iced%20Tea:%20Replace%20the%20spiced%20rum%20with%20white%20rum%20and%20the%20guava%20juice%20with%20orange%20juice%20and%20the%20club%20soda%20with%20cola%20and%20the%20Cointreau%20with%20blue%20cura%C3%A7ao.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENew%20England%20Iced%20Tea:%20Replace%20the%20spiced%20rum%20with%20white%20rum%20and%20the%20guava%20juice%20with%20orange%20juice%20and%20the%20club%20soda%20with%20cranb
