Рецепт Tuscan Sunset Cocktail
Destination: “The Canebrake”
By Eliot, on August 4th, 2010
In one of our travels, we came upon an interesting place, The Canebrake. You definitely have to know how to get there and it is definitely destination dining. I am struggling on how to describe it—it is a rural retreat, a lake-side resort, a yoga workshop/weekend spa, but ultimately, a great place to dine. The scenery is amazing. On our first visit as we were parking, we literally saw two deer meander out from behind a bale of hay. Seriously, “Cue the deer.”
I tried their Lemon Cielo cocktail on our very first visit here. As I recall, the menu stated cielo is Spanish for heaven. I loved this cocktail so much, that I came home and made my own version.
Tuscan Sunset
- 2 oz. vanilla vodka
- 1 oz. Frangelico
- 1 oz. Amaretto
- 2 oz. fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz. simple syrup
- 1 sprig rosemary
Shake first five ingredients with ice in a shaker. Strain into cocktail glass and garnish with a rosemary sprig.
We have had dinner there twice, plus we spent Thanksgiving there which was a huge treat. (They even sent us home with “doggy bags” with turkey sandwiches.) Friends tell me that Sunday brunch is awesome.
Experience it for yourself! They also feature a “Zip and Sip”—guests take a wild ride on a zip-line and are treated to a flight of wine upon finishing. I would love to try this!
