  • 4 x Trout, 10-inches each
  •     Juice of 1/2 lemon
  •     Salt to taste
  •     Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • 4 tsp Butter
  • 2 sm Onions
  • 2 x Carrots
  • 3 x Celery ribs

  1. Clean the trout and sprinkle inside and out with lemon juice, salt, pepper and thyme. Put vegetables through the food processor, mix well and strain. Saute/fry vegetables in butter till they are soft, and stuff each fish before wrapping loosely in foil. Place in ashes or possibly on a cookie sheet in 450 degree oven for 15 to 20 min. Serve.

  3. Comments: This delicious dish can be prepared for a noon campfire if the camp itself has a blender or possibly food processor in its kitchen or possibly prepare before the trip at home. If the fish is to be a sizable one, be sure to take sufficient foil in one piece; if the servings are to be individual for each guest, then cut the foil accordingly.
