I know that these aren’t much different than Rice Krispie Treats, but I didn’t have any of those on hand the other day when I felt in the mood for them, so I substituted the Krispies for Trix and it was a fun change (run-on sentence, I know). I will say that they are a lot sweeter, but the good thing is I ate a little less of them…
Trix Treats
Ingredients:
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 (10 ounce) bag large marshmallows
- 1 (13 ounce) box Trix cereal
Directions:
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows, stirring occasionally, until the marshmallows are completely melted and smooth.
Remove from the heat, add in the Trix cereal and stir completely.
Pour into a greased 9 x 9 pan, and using a piece of wax paper, press the mixture down into the pan. Let cool completely and cut into squares to serve.
