The brew in this Witopia beer made these rich Triple Voodoo Chocolate Doughnuts moist and airy.

I heard the nicest thing today from my baby girl. She was in the kitchen crafting a costume to wear for a Halloween party. I was helping her with a few things and she told me that she loved that I was so crafty with her when she was a little girl growing up. She said she loves to craft just like me. It warmed my heart to hear that. She told me all the kids would tell her how cool the things were that we made. I never knew that until today.

While she was busy making her costume, I was busy crafting up these delicious Triple Voodoo Chocolate Doughnuts.

Triple Voodoo Chocolate Doughnuts

Serves: 22

Preheat oven to 325 Degrees F.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter with the beer over medium heat.

Remove from heat and pour into a bowl.

Whisk in the sugar and cocoa.

Stir well, then whisk in the yogurt, eggs and vanilla.

Stir in the flour, baking soda and salt just until blended.

Pour the batter into a doughnut pan that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.

Bake for 12 minutes or until cooked through.

When I went to Bev Mo to buy beer for the spiked challenge last month, I bought this bottle of beer just because of the name. I realized later that it wasn’t a harvest beer and couldn’t use it for my spiked challenge. But have no fear chocolate doughnuts are here.

They were quite delicate when I was removing them from the pan. I kid you not when I say that they are incredibly moist, which is why they were so delicate.

These doughnuts might be one of my best baking adventures ever. EVER.
