- Honey – 1 cup

- Food color (optional)

- Mix rice flour, urad dal flour mixture, and a pinch of baking soda in a bowl.
- Add a few drops of food color (orange or red). Add water gradually to achieve vadai batter consistency.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Take small portions of the batter and gently shape them into small balls.
- Drop the balls into the hot oil and fry them on medium heat until golden and crispy.
- Drain excess oil by placing the fried balls on a paper towel.
- Warm the honey slightly (do not boil).
