- Saute/fry onion and green pepper in butter. Stir in soup, lowfat milk, mushrooms, pimento, and basil. Layer half of noodles. Cover with half of chicken, half of cottage cheese, half of soup mix, and half of Cheddar cheese. Repeat layers. End with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 45 min at 350 degrees.
