  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Confectioners' sugar

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar
  2. Add the maple syrup
  3. Mix well.
  4. Combine the flour and baking soda
  5. Gradually add to the creamed mixture
  6. Divide the dough into eight portions
  7. Roll each portion into a 9 inch log
  8. Place 3-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets
  9. Bake at 300 F for 25 minutes or until lightly browned
  10. Cut into 1-inch slices
  11. Remove to wire racks to cool
  12. Dut with confectioners' sugar
