%20with%20barely%20a%20glance.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20few%20weeks%20ago%20I%20got%20one%20with%2015%20zucchini%20(courgette)%20recipes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESince%20it%E2%80%99s%20zucchini%20season%20I%20had%20a%20look%20%E2%80%93%20I%20mean,%20how%20could%20I%20not?.%20One%20recipe%20was%20for%20stuffed%20zucchini.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%E2%80%99ve%20stuffed%20vegetables,%20and%20I%E2%80%99ve%20stuffed%20a%20lot%20of%20vegetables,%20I%E2%80%99ve%20usually%20partially%20cooked%20the%20vegetable%20and%20fully%20cooked%20the%20meat%20before%20stuffing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20French%20seem%20to%20assemble%20it%20all%20raw.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20decided%20to%20follow%20the%20French%20recipe.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20modifications,%20of%20course%E2%80%A6.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20still%20wanted%20a%20sauce%20of%20some%20sort,%20so%20I%20tossed%20in%20some%20cherry%20tomatoes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStuffed%20Zucchini%20(Courgette%20farcies)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETotal%20time:%2055%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20zucchini:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECut%20zucchini%20in%20half%20the%20long%20way.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20a%20small%20spoon%20scrape%20out%20the%20seeds%20and%20flesh%20from%20the%20center%20forming%20long%20boat-like%20shells.%20%20Leave%20a%20bit%20at%20either%20end%20to%20hold%20in%20the%20filling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20stuffing:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20beef,%20shallots,%20pepper,%20garlic,%20celery%20and%20parsley.%20Season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20well,%20lightly%20shape%20into%202%20rolls%20and%20press%20into%20zucchini%20halves.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECover%20with%20foil%20and%20bake,%20400F%20(200C),%20for%2020%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20tomatoes%20and%20olive%20oil.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20zucchini,%20add%20cherry%20tomatoes%20to%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20pan%20and%20return%20to%20oven%20(covered)%20for%20another%2020%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUncover%20zucchini,%20sprinkle%20with%20cheese%20and%20return%20to%20oven%20for%205%20minutes,%20until%20cheese%20melts.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServe,%20cherry%20tomatoes%20on%20the%20side.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20were%20good%E2%80%A6%20Kind%20of%20like%20meatloaf%20in%20a%20zucchini%20boat.%20I%E2%80%99m%20not%20sure%20I%E2%80%99ll%20do%20all%20of%20my%20stuffed%20vegetables%20this%20way,%20but%20it%E2%80%99s%20good%20for%20a%20change.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20nicest%20part%20was%20the%20prep%20was%20very%20quick.%20It%E2%80%99s%20always%20fun%20to%20do%20something%20that%E2%80%99s%20a%20bit%20different.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20a%20question%20for%20you%20all%E2%80%A6.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDo%20you%20find%20the%20weekly%20food%20shopping%20to%20be%20exhausting?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20shouldn%E2%80%99t%20be%20tiring%E2%80%A6.%20I%20mean,%20one%20is%20walking,%20at%20leisurely%20pace,%20in%20a%20climate-controlled%20environment,%20leaning%20on%20a%20trolley.%20Over%20the%20course%20of%20an%20hour,%20one%20picks%20up%20food%20items%20and%20places%20them%20in%20said%20trolley.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThat%E2%80%99s%20not%20exactly%20an%20aerobic%20work-out.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20lived%20in%20the%20US%20I%20would%20push%20the%20%E2%80%98cart%E2%80%99%20to%20the%20cashier%20and%20idly%20read%20a%20scandal%20sheet%20while%20the%20food%20was%20being%20scanned,%20bagged%20and%20sent%20to%20pick-up.%20In%20due%20time%20I%20would,%20pay,%20walk%20to%20my%20car%20and%20drive%20to%20pick-up%20where%20the%20groceries%20would%20be%20loaded%20into%20my%20car.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere%20I%20push%20the%20%E2%80%98trolley%E2%80%99%20to%20the%20cashier%20where%20I%20unload%20the%20food%20onto%20the%20belt%20and,%20at%20the%20other%20end,%20I%20put%20the%20food%20into%20the%20bags%20that%20I%20brought%20with%20me.%20Then%20I%20put%20the%20bagged%20food%20back%20into%20the%20trolley,%20pay,%20push%20the%20trolley%20out%20to%20the%20parking%20lot%20and%20load%20the%20groceries%20into%20my%20car.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStill%E2%80%A6..%20It%E2%80%99s%20really%20not%20that%20much%20work.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20why%20is%20it%20so%20tiring?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWell,%20I%20do%20have%20to%20haul%20it%20all%20into%20the%20house,%20unpack%20it%20and%20put%20it%20away.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStill%E2%80%A6.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMaybe%20it%E2%80%99s%20just%20a%20Friday%20thing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast%20update%20on%20August%2021,%202015%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelated%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
