Chrissees Grandmother Aunts and Cousin are all survivorsThis is my families story. I know I have told you all about my 14 year old daughter Christine. This is her legacy Lets try to find a cure in her lifetime.

Team 3rd Generation has been walking together to find the cure for breast cancer for over 10 years. Four of them make up 3 Generations of breast cancer survivors. Dorothy, Janet, Mary and Jill have a combined 69 years of survivorship. We are a family struck by genetic breast cancer, and it is our mission to help raise money to find the cure for this horrible disease. We pray that our participation and support will aid in creating a world free of breast cancer so that our daughters and grandaughters do not ever have to hear the words "you have breast cancer".

We walk/race/run especially for our beloved Mary, who is currently battling this disease for the third time. Her strength, courage, and beautiful spirit inspire us all each and everyday. We walk along side Mary to show her that we are here with her through thick and thin and love her dearly.

Help support us by joining our team and walk with us to show that you too want to end the epidemic that is breast cancer. Your participation not only shows your support for our team, but for all of the women that are currently battling this disease.

Please help us by donating to the cause that is so close to all of our hearts. Your dollars help to fund critical research and support programs that will help to bring us one step closer to the cure.

Jill is Chrissees cousin with her daughter MarleighMy name is Jill and I am a walking genetic nightmare. Yes, I was the winner in the game of genetic cancer roulette, and received my grand prize on June 26th 2006.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 25 years old.

I come from a family riddled with breast cancer. Grandmother, Mother (2 times), Aunt (3 times) and Me, all diagnosed very young. We are all very blessed to say that we are survivors. My father however, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2008 and was not as lucky; he lost his battle against genetic cancer.

What is all this "genetic cancer" I am talking about? Well simply put, my cancer was caused by heredity. I have tested positive for both of the gene mutations that can cause breast cancer BRCA1 and BRCA2. I received 1 from my mother and 2 from my father. This was most likely the cause of his pancreatic cancer. There are only .037% of all breast cancer patients that have both genetic mutations. Thus, my analogy of winning the game of genetic cancer!

I am now 4 years cancer free, but my fight is not over. I fight for my own health and for the health of my daughter. I will educate myself about everything I can to help her NOT get this disease. If she has my genes she will have a 80 - 90% chance of getting breast cancer. I also fight for my aunt, who was told after her second battle with this disease that she would never have to worry about getting breast cancer again. She is now in the fight for her life because more doctors are not as educated as they need to be about genetic cancer. Lastly, I fight for my father, who no longer has a voice against this deadly disease.

Please help support my dream of keeping Marleigh Cancer Free, by donating to help fund critical research that will find a cure NOW!!! We don't have time to wait. Please click on the link below to help.
