r%20comfort.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShe%20did%20this%20all%20morning%20long,%20getting%20progressively%20worse.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20spent%20a%20good%20portion%20of%20my%20day%20trying%20to%20sooth%20her%20and%20discover%20the%20problem.%20Every%20time%20I%20would%20get%20her%20settled%20somewhere%20a%20car%20or%20a%20bird%20or%20a%20rabbit%20or%20Bonnie%20would%20disturb%20her%20and%20we%20would%20start%20all%20over%20again.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShe%20wouldn%E2%80%99t%20even%20eat%E2%80%A6.%20Not%20even%20treats.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGuapa%20always%20eats.%20She%E2%80%99s%20always%20hungry.%20She%20can%20hear%20the%20treat%20cabinet%20open%20from%205%20miles%20away.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20finally%20got%20her%20settled%20I%20went%20out%20to%20the%20potager.%20I%20noticed%20that%20all%20the%20plums%20on%20that%20particular%20tree%20were%20ripe.%20And%20not%20just%20ripe%20but%20%E2%80%98falling-on-the-ground%E2%80%99%20ripe.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWell,%20something%20had%20to%20be%20done%E2%80%A6.%20Can%E2%80%99t%20waste%20perfectly%20good%20food!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20finished%20in%20the%20potager,%20picked%20the%20plums%20and%20made%20jam.%20Fortunately%20(or%20not)%20I%20only%20had%201%20kilo%20of%20the%20special%20sugar%20for%20jam%20so%20I%20had%20to%20stop%20at%202%20kilos%20of%20plums%E2%80%A6%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhich%20is%20about%20500%20plums%E2%80%A6.%20They%E2%80%99re%20very%20small,%20just%20slightly%20bigger%20than%20a%20cherry.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20all%20had%20to%20have%20the%20stones%20removed%20%E2%80%93%20with%20the%20cherry%20pitter%E2%80%A6.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThat%E2%80%99s%20why%20I%E2%80%99m%20doing%20this%20blog%20post%20today%20instead%20of%20yesterday.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20jam%20is%20finished%20and%20packed%20away;%20Guapa%20is%20back%20to%20her%20usual%20self,%20had%20last%20night%E2%80%99s%20dinner%20for%20breakfast%20and%20remembered%20exactly%20where%20I%20had%20put%20the%20treat%20from%20last%20night%20that%20she%20didn%E2%80%99t%20want.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%E2%80%99s%20a%20new%20day%20%E2%80%93%20I%E2%80%99ll%20try%20it%20all%20again.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast%20update%20on%20July%203,%202014%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
