%20during%20our%20first%20year.%20%20During%20our%20second%20year,%20things%20had%20gotten%20much%20easier%20but%20they%20were%20still%20much%20harder%20than%20we%20had%20ever%20imagined.%20%20On%20Sunday%20nights,%20when%20none%20of%20our%20plans%20for%20the%20week%20were%20complete%20and%20things%20felt%20hopeless%20because%20even%20after%20we%20stayed%20up%20all%20night%20writing%20them%20we%E2%80%99d%20still%20never%20get%20to%20teach%20the%20damn%20plans,%20one%20of%20us%20would%20say%20it%20%E2%80%93%20%E2%80%9CDo%20you%20want%20to%20see%20what%E2%80%99s%20playing%20at%20the%20movies?%E2%80%9C%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESomething%20was%20always%20playing.%20%20And%20if%20there%20hadn%E2%80%99t%20been%20I%E2%80%99m%20pretty%20sure%20we%20would%20have%20convinced%20ourselves%20that%20something%20from%20the%20previous%20week%20was%20worth%20rewatching.%20%20Our%20studio%20apartment%20was%20on%20the%20corner%20of%202nd%20Avenue%20and%20the%20movie%20theatre%20%E2%80%93%20a%20fabulous%20revamped%20spot%20with%20a%20galaxy%20of%20stars%20sewn%20into%20the%20carpet%20and%20classic%20movie%20posters%20lining%20the%20walls%20%E2%80%93%20was%20on%20the%20corner%20of%2013th.%20%20Those%20eleven%20blocks,%20and%20every%20single%20store%20and%20restaurant%20along%20the%20way,%20are%20forever%20etched%20into%20my%20memory.%20%20No%20matter%20how%20we%20felt%20before%20the%20decision%20to%20see%20a%20movie,%20that%20walk%20always%20felt%20hopeful.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20times%20have%20changed.%20%20Now%20I%E2%80%99m%20in%20a%20Dietetics%20program%20(that%20I%20quit%20my%20job%20career%20to%20join),%20and%20letting%20Adam%20talk%20me%20into%20seeing%20%E2%80%9CParanormal%20Activity%202%E2%80%9D%20(I%20hate%20scary%20movies)%20at%209:10%20on%20a%20Tuesday%20night%20is%20just%20a%20bad%20idea%20(a%20really%20bad%20idea).%20%20But%20that%E2%80%99s%20what%20I%20was%20doing%20yesterday!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThankfully,%20today%20I%20really%20did%20get%20it%20together%20and%20I%20managed%20to%20take%20care%20of%20my%20to-do%20list.%20%20My%20eats%20were%20nothing%20if%20not%20unorthodox%20and%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20help%20but%20credit%20that%20in%20my%20success%20at%20actually%20taking%20care%20of%20business.%20%20Should%20I%20have%20chocolate%20for%20breakfast%20every%20day?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBecause%20that%E2%80%99s%20what%20I%20did%20today.%20%20I%20let%20Adam%20gobble%20up%20most%20of%20the%20homemade%20pb%20cups,%20but%20this%20one%20was%20special.%20%20A%20layer%20of%20chocolate%20and%20a%20layer%20of%20butterscotch,%20sandwiching%20a%20layer%20of%20crunchy%20peanut%20butter?%20%20Oh%20yeah!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBreakfast%E2%80%99s%20dessert%20was%20significantly%20healthier.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYesterday%20I%20roasted%20this%20delightful%20orange%20acorn%20squash%20with%20a%20teeny%20bit%20of%20honey%20and%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20today%20all%20I%20had%20to%20do%20was%20reheat%20and%20mash%20with%20a%20bit%20of%20Smart%20Balance%20Light.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESort%20of%20like%20mashed%20potatoes,%20but%20a%20thousand%20times%20better.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20lunch%20I%20crunched%20through%20Anatomy%20with%20a%20bag%20of%20baby%20carrots%20and%20sliced%20Empire%20apple.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBtw%20%E2%80%93%20after%20the%20curves%20I%20scored%20an%2089%20on%20the%20Orgo%20test%20and%20a%2074%20on%20Anatomy.%20%20I%20need%20to%20step%20up%20my%20Anatomy%20game%20for%20the%20remainder%20of%20the%20semester%20(I%20do,%20however,%20have%20a%2096%25%20as%20my%20Anatomy%20Lab%20current%20class%20average!).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdam%20came%20to%20study%20with%20me%20between%20classes%20and%20Orgo%20lab%20and%20generously%20shared%20a%20few%20bites%20of%20pizza%20with%20me.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20realized%20that%20I%20was%20actually%20considering%20punching%20him%20in%20the%20face%20and%20trying%20to%20make%20a%20break%20for%20it%20with%20the%20pizza%20I%20deemed%20it%20time%20for%20an%20early%20dinner.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHuuuuuge%20chicken%20burrito.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20took%20a%20quick%20walk%20around%20the%20%E2%80%98hood%20on%20the%20way%20home%20(glorious!),%20so%204%20hours%20after%20my%20burrito%20I%20had%20dinner,%20part%202.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELow%20fat%20plain%20yogurt%20topped%20with%201/4%20cup%20gingerbread%20granola,%202tsp%20maple%20syrup,%20a%20sliced%20plum,%20and%20a%20sprinkle%20of%20unsweetened%20shredded%20coconut.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20need%20to%20remember%20this%20combo%20in%20December,%20it%20felt%20very%20%E2%80%98visions%20of%20sugar%20plums.%E2%80%99%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMaybe%20you%E2%80%99ve%20noticed%20my%20lack%20of%20gym%20time?%20%20My%20plan/goal%20is%20to%20smash%20my%20to-do%20list%20over%20the%20next%204%20days.%20%20Whether%20I%20succeed%20or%20I%20fail%20in%20that%20endeavour,%20I%E2%80%99m%20returning%20to%20the%20gym%20come%20Monday!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDo%20you%20ever%20escape%20in%20entertainment?%20%20How%20often%20do%20you%20go%20to%20see%20a%20movie?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Loading...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelated%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
