.%20I%20didn't%20have%20any%20ground%20pork.%20What%20I%20did%20have%20was%20a%201%20lb.%20piece%20of%20pork%20loin.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20cut%20it%20up%20into%20little%20pieces%20and%20tossed%20it%20with%20a%20tablespoon%20of%20soy%20sauce,%20a%20tablespoon%20of%20rice%20vinegar,%20and%20tablespoon%20of%20cornstarch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20all%20of%20the%20ingredients%20chopped%20and%20ready%20to%20go,%20I%20fired%20up%20the%20stove%20and%20heated%20a%20couple%20teaspoons%20of%20toasted%20sesame%20oil%20in%20a%20skillet.%20Then%20I%20added%20in%20the%20asparagus,%20pepper,%20and%20ginger.%20Toss%20for%20a%20few%20minutes%20until%20the%20asparagus%20is%20tender-crisp.%20Then%20remove%20the%20veggies%20from%20the%20skillet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20another%20teaspoon%20of%20sesame%20oil%20in%20the%20same%20skillet%20and%20add%20the%20pork.%20Stir%20fry%20for%20a%20few%20minutes%20until%20the%20pork%20is%20browned.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20veggies%20back%20into%20the%20skillet%20and%20then%20pour%20on%20the%20sauce%20ingredients:%20soy%20sauce,%20oyster%20sauce,%20and%20honey.%20Stir-fry%20a%20little%20longer,%20until%20the%20pork%20is%20cooked%20through.%20Toss%20in%20the%20green%20onions%20and%20salt%20and%20pepper%20(if%20needed)%20to%20finish.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20served%20mine%20over%20rice.%20As%20a%20fan%20of%20stir-fry,%20%20I'd%20definitely%20make%20this%20one%20again!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20jalapeno%20that%20I%20used%20was%20surprisingly%20hot.%20It%20made%20the%20stir-fry%20too%20spicy%20for%20our%20daughters%20to%20enjoy.%20Luckily%20I%20had%20extra%20asparagus,%20so%20I%20steamed%20a%20batch%20their%20dinner.%20Here's%20a%20picture%20of%20one%20of%20the%20half-eaten%20asparagus%20and%20rice%20dinners%20that%20I%20served%20to%20the%20kiddos.%20It%20totally%20makes%20me%20happy%20that%20they%20love%20asparagus%20too!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*%20Asparagus%20makes%20for%20great%20finger%20food%20for%20kiddos.%20If%20they're%20not%20sure%20about%20it%20at%20first,%20let%20them%20dip%20it%20in%20ranch%20dressing.%20Once%20they%20develop%20a%20taste%20for%20a%20new%20vegetable,%20they%20might%20enjoy%20it%20without%20the%20aid%20of%20condiments%20down%20the%20road.%20It's%20all%20about%20setting%20up%20healthy%20habits%20for%20the%20future!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere's%20the%20recipe:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpicy%20Pork%20with%20Asparagus%20and%20Chile%20from%20Bon%20Apettit%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
